Simply try to recall the meaning of a word before tapping "Show answer" to check if you're correct. The meanings are presented in your preferred language (Arabic or French), making memorization easier. The practice focuses on: reading, listening, spelling, identifying, pronunciation, and using words in sentences.

It helps you quickly recall vocabulary without relying on multiple-choice options and strengthens your ability to remember words in their proper context. This scientifically proven method allows you to master new words without the need for long reviews.

How do I start using the practice tests in the iStoria app?

It’s very simple! After logging into your account, you’ll begin learning vocabulary and adding words to your “Learning” and “I know” lists. Once you've started picking up some words, you can head over to the vocabulary page and begin practicing them.

Can I choose which practice test to start with?

Yes, all practice tests are available and accessible; you can start with any practice test that suits your needs.

Can I know if I’ve mastered a particular skill?

Yes, since there are practice tests for words you are about to learn, you can know if you have mastered a specific skill by checking your tests’ results. Once you correctly answer the practice tests, you’ll earn a green point for the skill you have mastered. Once you have mastered all skills, all green points will be activated. Additionally, you can continuously track your progress through the vocabulary page within the app.

How can I control the number of skill repetitions?

You can control how many times a skill is repeated through the “Vocabulary Practice” section of the app settings. There's an option that lets you choose the number of repetitions, from 1 to 3 times. This helps reinforce your memory and boosts your ability to recall and use the words effectively.

How can I control the practice word count?

You can adjust the number of words shown in each practice test through the “Vocabulary Practice” section in the app settings. You can choose to practice between 10 and 30 words. This feature allows you to tailor the practice tests to your focus level and needs, helping you improve gradually.

Can I choose a specific skill to practice?

You can’t manually select a specific skill to practice. Instead, practice tests are offered progressively to test you across various skills such as reading, listening, spelling, pronouncing, identifying, and using the word in the right context. The journey starts by selecting words from your vocabulary list, and then practice tests are presented interactively to help you master each skill step by step.

Each skill appears automatically after you complete the previous one. Once all proficiency levels are completed, the word is moved to your “I know” list. To unlock the spelling skill, you first need to pass the earlier levels by completing their practice tests correctly.

How do I know if I’ve mastered a word?

When you successfully complete all proficiency levels of the word and provide correct answers, the word is automatically moved to your “I know” list, which means you’ve mastered it.

How can I track my progress in the practice tests?

You can track your progress in two ways:

Daily and Weekly Goals

In the "Profile" page, you can view your daily and weekly progress under the Daily Goal and Weekly Goal sections. The app shows the number of practice tests you’ve completed compared to your set goals.

Statistics

You can also monitor your progress in the “Insights” section on the same page. It displays the total number of completed practice tests.
