Understanding Your Streak and Day Off Features 🔥🛡️

Learn how the Streak and Day Off features work in iStoria. Discover how to build a daily English learning habit and protect your progress if you miss a day.

🔥 What is a Learning Streak?

Your Streak is the number of consecutive days you have successfully completed a lesson or read a chapter in the iStoria app.

  • How to keep it active: You must complete at least one reading or practice session every day before midnight (your local time).

  • Where to find it: You can track your current streak on your main Journey page—just look for the flame icon!

🛡️ What is a "Day Off"?

We know that life happens and sometimes you just can't open the app. The Day Off feature acts as a protective shield for your Streak. If you accidentally miss a day of learning, the Day Off will automatically activate to prevent your hard-earned streak from resetting to zero.

  • Equip it in advance: You must already have a Day Off active before you miss a learning day.

  • Pauses, but doesn't add: A Day Off saves your previous progress, but it does not add a new day to your total streak count. It simply pauses it until you return the next day.

🔄 How to Easily Restore a Lost Streak

If you missed a day and didn't read or practice, don't worry! You can restore your missed day's streak within 48 hours. Upon restoring, you will regain the streak for both the previous day and the current day together, helping you maintain your cumulative streak of achievements.

Types of Restoration:

  • Free Restore: All users get one free opportunity to restore their streak.

  • Paid Restore: After using your free restore, you can purchase a paid restore to ensure your streak continues and doesn't break.
